Our Elders

Elders are men who meet qualifications that God has laid down in 1 Tim. 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. These are men of wisdom and maturity. Their work is to oversee the local church (1 Pet. 5:1-3). While that includes many tasks, the primary role they have is watching for the souls of those who are members of the local church (Heb. 13:17).

Below are the four elders of the El Bethel Church of Christ. George Gibbs was appointed in May 1996. Donnie V. Rader was appointed October 2004. Mitchell Mooneyham and Larry Hornaday were appointed November 2015.

Our Deacons

Deacons are men who meet the qualifications laid down by God in 1 Tim. 3:8-13). These are mature and responsible men who serve under the oversight of the elders (1 Pet. 5:1-3). The word deacon means servant. These are special servants who carry out many of the important task that elders assign to them.

Below are the six deacons of the El Bethel Church of Christ.
